MastaMic & The Justice Family interview – HK Live!

HK-Live!-MastaMic Here comes the Hong Kong Freestyle King --- MASTAMIC. MastaMic is an exciting up-and-coming MC who has quickly become Hong Kong’s most sought after hip-hop talent.

Despite his young age, MastaMic has already been crowned the term “HK Freestyle King”. Born and raised in the city of Hong Kong in the 1990s where hip-hop culture is not prominent, MastaMic became introduced to hip-hop culture through a mixtape which featured Kool G Rap.

He quickly became addicted to the culture and studied the art thoroughly. After his short stay in Beijing and studying in Wuhan, he began to experiment and started to make his own music.

Due to his hard work, MastaMic perfected the art of freestyling in Cantonese, something that seemed impossible to the majority. His dedication and efforts was finally acknowledged as he was recently signed to CLOT Music Division.

Through his music, MastaMic hopes to spread his views and messages to his listeners as well as to find the true value of his existence. At the end of the day, the motto behind his music is staying true to himself. MastaMic’s ultimate goal is to become an influential figure in Hong Kong’s hip-hop community and to spread the culture to the masses as well as being a positive influence to the young generation.
